Adventurer Fails Ice Trek

THE Arctic adventurer Flip Byrnes - great-granddaughter of Frank Hurley, Australia's most famous Antarctic photographer - had to be rescued from the ice by helicopter yesterday, ending her attempt to become the first Australian woman to make the 650-kilometre trek across Greenland.
